2025 Cadillac CT5: Unveiling a Refined Vision for Luxury and Tech

Earlier this month, Cadillac raised the curtain on its updated 2025 CT5 at the North American International Detroit Auto Show. The reveal showcased the vehicle’s more refined design and an assortment of technological upgrades. The changes are notable, as John Roth, Global Cadillac’s vice president, highlights the CT5 as having its “best sales year ever.”

Fresh Exterior Design

The 2025 CT5 sports a newly reimagined front fascia that accentuates its fastback profile. The front grille is broader and sits lower, flanked by Cadillac’s signature vertical lighting and newly designed stacked LED headlamps. For those opting for the CT5 Sport trim, you can expect a performance-oriented black mesh grille with black surrounds.

New Tech Features and Upgrades

One of the standout features in the revamped CT5 is the 33-inch-diagonal LED color touchscreen display, boasting a 9K resolution. Not only does the curved screen offer a seamless visual experience, but it also features a customizable user interface designed for an engaging and personalized touch.

The vehicle incorporates advanced technologies like Google built-in compatibility, Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play for hands-free communication, live traffic updates, and access to various apps, such as music and news platforms. An available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot keeps you connected on the go.

Safety Gets a Boost

Safety is front and center in the 2025 CT5, as it includes standard features like Blind Zone Steering Assist and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking. Optional Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Assist are also available, alongside the Driver Attention Assist feature, which is integrated with the available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology.

Under the Hood

The 2025 model retains its core performance philosophy, offering rear-wheel drive dynamics that aim for a harmonious blend of comfort and agility. A standard 2.0L Turbo engine outputs 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. For those craving more power, an optional 3.0L Twin-Turbo engine is available, delivering 335 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is also available, along with a Driver Mode Selector to fine-tune the vehicle’s performance based on driving conditions.

Availability and Future Announcements

Production for the 2025 Cadillac CT5 will kick off in spring 2024 at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly facility in Michigan. Although pricing and additional details are yet to be released, Cadillac has hinted at upcoming announcements for the refreshed 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, signaling that the V-Series is set to evolve further.

In a nutshell, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 aims to bring a fresh aesthetic and technological improvements to a model that is already performing well in the market. From advanced connectivity options to enhanced safety features and more powerful engine options, the new CT5 offers a holistic luxury experience.
